AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
PAY PADUCAH FORD INC. THE SUM OF $14, 684.00 FOR THE PURCHASE OF
ONE 1998 FORD TAURUS AUTOMOBILE FOR USE BY THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Finance Director is authorized to pay the sum of
$14,684.00 to Paducah Ford Inc. for the purchase of one 1998 Ford Taurus automobile
for use by the Police Department, in compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement
for bid, and as contained in the bid of Paducah Ford Inc. of February 20, 1998.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Paducah Ford Inc. for the purchase of one automobile authorized in Section 1 above.
541-40-05.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 070-2215-
SECTION 4. In order to provide an automobile for use by the Chief of
Police, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective
immediately with one reading.
