AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SALARIES OF CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That civil service salaries in the Department of Finance of the City of Paducah,
�ntucky, are hereby amended to read as follows:
"Department of Finance.
This department shall be under the direction and supervision of the City Treasurer - Finance
Director, a noncivil service position which has heretofore been created by separate ordinance.
(a) There is hereby created and authorized the following positions in the Department of
Finance, and the salary of each position that shall be paid upon satisfactory completion of consecutive years of
service, in this position, and upon recommendation of the City Manager:
SECTION 2. That civil service salaries in the Department of Personnel of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, are hereby amended to read as follows:
"Department of Personnel.
(a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the Department of Personnel
of the City of Paducah and the salary of each position that shall be paid upon satisfactory completion of
consecutive years of service, in this position, and upon recommendation of the City Manager:

(b) The chief of the maintenance division may designate one maintenance specialist in his
department to act as lead man or part-time working foreman to serve in such capacity at the direction of the chief
of the maintenance division. The maintenance specialist so designated shall be paid an additional $1.00 per hour
during such times as the maintenance specialist designated actually serves in such capacity. The current Facility

SECTION 10. Any department director, upon approval of the City Manager, may designate an
employee of their respective department to serve as Lead Person. The Lead Person shall be paid an additional
$.50 per hour during such time that the person serves in such capacity.
SECTION 11. These salaries shall become effective July 1, 1998.
SECTION 12. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon
summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
