AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF OTIS ELEVATOR
COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $58,7J0.00 TO REPLACE THE CITY HALL
ELEVATOR, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of Otis Elevator
Company in the amount of $58,740 to replace the City Hall elevator, said bid being in
substantial compliance with the City's specifications, and as contained in the bid of Otis
Elevator Company of September 3, 1998.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Otis Elevator Company. for replacement of the City Hall elevator, authorized in Section 1
above, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 040-8827-
536-2307, Project PF0012.
SECTION 4. In order to provide handicapped access to City Hall and to
comply with ADA regulations, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
shall become effective immediately with one reading.
