AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SALARIES OF CIVIL. SERVICE
EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That civil service salaries in the Department of Engineering of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, are hereby amended to read as follows:
"Department of Engineering.
(a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the
Department of Engineering, and the salary of each position that shall be paid upon satisfactory
completion of consecutive years of service, in this position, and upon recommendation of the City
Manager:

(b) Effective March 1, 1997, the number of positions of Floodwall Operator
will revert to 4 positions.

City of Paducah, Kentucky, are hereby amended to read as follows:

(b) The chief of the maintenance division may designate one maintenance
specialist in his department to act as lead man or part-time working foreman to serve in such
capacity at the direction of the chief of the maintenance division. The maintenance specialist so
designated shall be paid an additional $1.00 per hour during such times as the maintenance
specialist designated actually serves in such capacity. The current Facility Maintenance Specialist
also receive $0.52 per hour on his base rate.
SECTION3. That civil service salaries in the Inspection Department of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, are hereby amended to read as follows:
"Inspection Department.
(a) There is hereby authorized and created the following positions in the
Inspection Department of the City of Paducah, and the salary of each position that shall be paid
upon satisfactory completion of consecutive years of service, in this positions, and upon
recommendation of the City Manager:

SECTION 4. The salary of Deputy Electrical Inspector II shall be retroactive to
