AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF EMERGENCY
EQUIPMENT SPECIALISTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $193,000, FOR SALE TO THE
CITY OF CAR VIDEO SYSTEMS FOR USE BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
yi SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of Emergency
Equipment Specialists in the amount of $193,000 for sale to the City of 50 in -car video
systems and related supplies and services for use by the Police Department, said bid being
in substantial compliance with the City's specifications, and as contained in the bid of
Emergency Equipment Specialists of May 19, 1998.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
New Era Sales Inc. for purchase of the equipment authorized in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to the following accounts:
$153,000 to Account No. 001-1602-521-4215 and $40,000 to Account No. 013-1611-
521-4215. A Law Enforcement Grant received by the Police Department will provide the
sum of $115,670 of the total amount of this purchase.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
