HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-9-5953ORDINANCE NO. 98-9- 'S-17 S3 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 WITH H & G CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC. FOR THE EAST MALL ACCESS ROAD WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 96-6-5512, the City executed a contract with H & G Construction Company, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $846,573.48 for construction of the East Mall Access Road; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 98-3-5839, the City executed Change Order No. 1, in the amount of $39,592.98 for adjustment of actual quantities installed, for a total amount of contract to be $886,166.46; and WHEREAS, it is now necessary to amend this contract for additional changes required due to negotiation of property agreements and adjustment of required materials. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order No. 2 with H & G Construction, Inc., in the amount of $52,688.72 for changes required due to negotiation of property agreements and adjustment of required materials, for the East Mall Access Road, thereby increasing the contract amount to $938,855.18. SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 040-3315-532- 2307 (ST0003). C11) SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
