HomeMy WebLinkAbout98-12-5984ORDINANCE NO. 98-12- 59 0 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SALE OF ONE 1993 INTERNATIONAL RESCUE VEHICLE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH TO THE ADAMS TOWNSHIP OF MADISON COUNTY, INDIANA, FOR THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $90,000 WHEREAS, pursuant to 2-668 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, a written determination has been made by the City Manager that the City does not have any use at this time or in the future for one 1993 International Rescue Vehicle utilized by the Fire Department, which constitutes surplus personal property. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the sale to Adams Township of Madison County, Indiana, of one 1993 International Rescue Vehicle in the Fire Department is hereby approved for the total amount of $90,000.00. SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a deed and any other documents necessary for the sale of said personal property. SECTION 3. In order to meet the schedule of the purchasing local government, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
