AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
CONTRACT AMENDMENT NO. 3 WITH FLORENCE & HUTCHESON INCYOR
ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE MORGAN-CORNELL ROADWAY
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT - PHASES II AND III
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 97-9-5726 the City of Paducah approved a
contract in am amount not to exceed $63,750 with Florence & Hutcheson, Inc. for
engineering services for the Morgan -Cornell Roadway Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 98-2-5819, the City approved Contract
Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $19,910; and
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 98-6-5878, the City approved Contract
Amendment No. 2 in the amount of $40,000; and
WHEREAS, Contract Amendment No. 3 is required to increase the
contract amount by $83,535 for this project.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Contract
Amendment No. 3 for an increase in the amount of $83,535 with Florence & Hutcheson
Inc., thereby increasing the total contract to an amount not to exceed $207,195 for
F engineering services for the Morgan -Cornell Roadway Improvement Project - Phases II
and III.

SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 40-3305-
SECTION 3. In order to provide continuity for the completion of this
project, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective
immediately with one reading.
