AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
DOCUMENTS WITH WILKINS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE
MORGAN-CORNELL ROADWAY IlVIPROVEMENT PROJECT - PHASE III
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 99-5-6037 the City of Paducah approved a
' contract in the amount of $1,049,232.69 with Wilkins Construction Company Inc. for the
Morgan -Cornell Roadway Improvement Project - Phase III; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required to increase the contract
amount by $293,023.23 for completion of this project.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Change Order
No. 1 for an increase in the amount of $293,023.23 with Wilkins Construction Company
Inc., thereby increasing the total contract amount to $1,342,255.92 for the Morgan -
Cornell Roadway Improvement Project - Phase III.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is further authorized to execute an Indemnity and
Hold Harmless Agreement withWilkins for the Project in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 40-3305-
532-2307.
SECTION 4. In order to provide continuity for the completion of this
project, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective
immediately with one reading.
