ORDINANCE NO. 99-'M- 3 g
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF AN ALLEY LOCATED
BETWEEN BROWN STREET AND AN ISLAND CREEK TRIBUTARY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing of an alley
located between Brown Street and an Island Creek Tributary, and being more particularly described as
follows:
Being in the Chamblin, Murray and Brown Addition to the City of Paducah, Block
13, 8, and 9 as recorded in Plat Book A page 136 and being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the southwest corner of the intersection of Green Street
with an unnamed alley; thence along the south line of said alley North 63 degrees
07 minutes 33 seconds West a distance of 325.30 feet to a point at the end of said
alley of Block 13; thence across said alley, North 88 degrees 10 minutes 25
seconds East a distance of 31.23 feet to a point; thence along the north line of said
alley in Block 13, South 63 degrees 07 minutes 33 seconds East a distance of
297.90 feet to a point at the intersection of said alley with Green Street; thence
South 26 degrees 52 minutes 21 seconds West a distance of 15.00 feet to a point
at the beginning containing 0.11 acres more or less.
Beginning at a point at the Northeast corner of the intersection of an unnamed
alley and Green Street; thence South 63 degrees 07 minutes 33 seconds East along
the north line of the unnamed alley a distance of 200.00 feet to a point; thence
South 26 degrees 52 minutes 29 seconds West a distance of 15.00 feet to a point,
thence North 63 degrees 07 minutes 33 seconds West along the edge of the
unnamed alley a distance of 200.00 feet to a point at the Southeast corner of the
` intersection Green Street and the unnamed alley; thence North 26 degrees 52
minutes 29 seconds East a distance of 15.00 feet to a point at the beginning
containing 0.07 acres more or less.
SECTION 2. The Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, is hereby
authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS 82.405, an action in the
McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of the alley described in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
