ORDINANCE NO. 99-9-6114
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND
GREATER PADUCAH ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (GPEDC)
' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute
a Contract for Services in the amount of $400,000, and other considerations, with
Greater Paducah Economic Development Council (GPEDC).
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the following account
numbers: 001-1204-513-2307 and 040-1204-513-2307, ED00100.
SECTION 3. The provisions of Ordinance No. 99-4-6025, adopted by the
City of Paducah on April 13, 1999, have not been implemented due to a delay caused by
the City of Paducah v Paducah -McCracken County Industrial Development Authority and
GPEDC, Inc., McCracken Circuit Court CA No. 99 -CI -00734. Pursuant to Judgment
entered in this case on September 14, 1999, the commitments and obligations of the City
of Paducah in the aforementioned ordinance should be implemented without further delay.
Further unnecessary delay may impede the City's economic development efforts, therefore
an ordinance is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective
immediately with one reading.
