AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH B & J MANUFACTURING & SERVICES INC. IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED $100,000 FOR RESTORATION OF THE STEAM LOCOMOTIVE
WHEREAS, this contract for services is authorized under competitive
^7 negotiations pursuant to Section 2-654 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract
with B & J Manufacturing & Services Inc. in an amount not to exceed $100,000 for
restoration of the steam locomotive located on Water Street in the City of Paducah.
SECTION 2. The City has received an ISTEA Grant in the amount of
$100,000 for this project.

SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 002-1201-
SECTION 4. In order to complete this project before the onset of
inclement weather, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
become effective immediately with one reading.
