AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A SANITARY
SEWER EASEMENT FOR THE PADUCAH-McCRACKEN COUNTY JOINT SEWER
AGENCY ACROSS REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH WITHIN
STUART NELSON PARK
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Sanitary Sewer
Easement for the Paducah -McCracken County Joint Sewer Agency across real property owned by
the City of Paducah within Stuart Nelson Park, which property is more particularly described as
follows:
Being a 20' wide Public Utility easement in the City of Paducah,
McCracken County Kentucky in the Stuart Nelson Park and being more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point southeast of the manhole designated A0, manhole AO
being directly over an existing 24" P.V.C. sanitary sewer line known as
the Perkins Creek Interceptor, north of an abandoned railroad
embankment on the north side of Stuart Nelson Park owned by the City of
Paducah recorded in deed book 50 page 515; thence from the point of
beginning, parallel and 10.00' from the centerline of the proposed 10"
P.V.C. sewer extension on the east side, South 16 degrees 41 minutes 58
seconds West, 574.28' to a point near manhole A2; thence South 1 degree
23 minutes 23 seconds East, 334.39' to a point near manhole A3; thence
/ South 1 degree 01 minutes 44 seconds West, 414.39' to a point near
manhole A4; thence South 0 degrees 26 minutes 59 seconds East, 100.67'
to a point in the north property line of Higdon -McBride Showrooms, Inc.
as recorded in deed book 755 page 277, and the south property line of
Stuart Nelson Park; thence along the south line of Stuart Nelson Park,
North 64 degrees 43 minutes 39 seconds West, 22.21' to a point; thence
leaving the south line of Stuart Nelson Park, parallel and 10.00' from the
centerline of the proposed 10" P.V.C. sewer extension on the west side,
North 0 degrees 26 minutes 59 seconds West, 91.24' to a point near
manhole A4; thence North 1 degree 01 minutes 44 seconds East, 414.26'
to a point near manhole A3; thence North 1 degree 23 minutes 23 seconds
West, 337.17' to a point near manhole A2; thence North 16 degrees 41
minutes 58 seconds East, 567.15' to a point near manhole A0; thence
North 79 degrees 25 minutes 27 seconds East, 22.50' to the point of
beginning containing 0.6505 acres or 28,337 square feet.
SECTION 2. In order to complete construction on this easement before the onset
of inclement weather, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become
effective immediately with one reading.
