AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CHRISTMAS
DECORATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,500.00, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
WHEREAS, this purchase is being made as a non-competitive negotiation
under Section 26-21 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah; and
WHEREAS, Display Sales is the sole supplier of this product in this area.
SECTION 1. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized to purchase
Christmas decorations from Display Sales in the amount of $18,500.00, pursuant to
written determination by the City Manager authorizing said purchase.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute
a contract with Display Sales for the purchase of Christmas decorations authorized in
Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account Number
001-0109-511-2307.
SECTION 4. In order to take advantage of a delivery discount, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective
immediately with one reading.
