AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING BID AND
AUTHORIZING CONTRACT FOR THE CITY'S FUEL
SUPPLY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of Duke and Long, Inc.
for the City's purchase of gasoline and diesel fuel at OPIS (Oil Price Information Service)
plus $.09, through an automated fuel accounting system. Said contract is in substantial
compliance with bid specifications, advertisement for bids, and bid of Duke and Long,
Inc., dated July 30, 1999, and contains an option to renew for three additional one-year
periods.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract
between the City of Paducah and Duke and Long, Inc. for the City's fuel supply and
various services as set out in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to various accounts.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
