ORDINANCE NO. 99-8-_!�O 9 -
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 46-31(a) OF CHAPTER 46,
"FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION", OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Sec. 46-31, "Adoption of Kentucky Standards of
Safety and National Fire Codes", of Chapter 46, "Fire Prevention and Protection", of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, is hereby amended and reordained
to hereafter read as follows:
"(a) The Kentucky Standards of Safety (Fire Prevention Code) as
promulgated in 815 KAR 10:040 by the Commissioner of the Department of Housing,
Building and Construction, on the advice and recommendation of the State Fire Marshal,
is hereby adopted in full as an ordinance of the City of Paducah, and certain documents,
one copy which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, being marked and designated as
`The Kentucky Standards of Safety (Fire Prevention Code), First Edition 1990, Second
Edition 1996, Third Edition 1999, and any future amendments or revised standards, as
published by the Kentucky Department of Housing, Building and Construction."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
