HomeMy WebLinkAbout99-4-6024183 ORDINANCE NO. 99-4- (00a'f- AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 WITH JIM SMITH CONTRACTING CO. INC., FOR THE 1998/1999 STREET RESURFACING AND PAVEMENT MARKING PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 98-7-5902 to enter into a contract with Jim Smith Contracting Co, Inc., in the amount of $1,062,665.00 for the 1998/1999 Street Resurfacing and Pavement Marking Program; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required for an increase in the amount of $290,214.68 for adjustments of quantities installed to complete the construction and include sidewalk replacement adjacent to properties owned by the City, increasing the total contract price to $1,352,879.68. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order No. 1 for an increase in the amount of $290,214.68 with Jim Smith Contracting Co., Inc., adjustments of quantities installed to complete the construction and include sidewalk replacement adjacent to properties owned by the City, increasing the total contract price to $1,352,879.68. SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account Nos. 003-2217-531- 4227 & 003-2217-531-3919 (ST0013, ST0008, & ST0007). SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
