AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 WITH OTIS ELEVATOR COMPANY FOR THE
REPLACEMENT OF THE CITY HALL ELEVATOR
WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 98-9-5938 to enter into a contract
with OTIS Elevator Company in the amount of $58,740.00 to replace the City Hall Elevator; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required for an increase in the amount of
$3,060.00 for extra equipment rental, additional labor to coordinate change order and overtime to
complete installation of elevator, increasing the total contract price to $61,800.00.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change
Order No. 1 for an increase in the amount of $3,060.00 with OTIS Elevator Company for extra
equipment rental, additional labor and overtime to complete installation of the elevator, increasing
the total cost to $61,800.00.
SECTION 2. Due to the City being incompliant with ADA regulations and
upcoming events requiring handicap accessibility, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
