ORDINANCE NO. 99-3- 6 006
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PORTION
OF AN ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN NORTH SIXTH STREET, NORTH
SEVENTH STREET, BROADWAY STREET AND JEFFERSON STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing
of an alley located between north Sixth Street, North Seventh Street, Broadway Street and
Jefferson Street, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point located at the northeast corner of Arthur D. & Doris
E. Wright property as described in Deed Book 511, page 184, same being
common to the northwest corner of the property owned by A.D. Jr. and
Brenda Wright, as described in Deed Book 765, page 110; thence south 67
degrees 00 minutes 04 seconds west, 25.00 feet; thence south 23 degrees
00 minutes 32 seconds east, 15.25 feet to the point of beginning. The
above parcel contains .009 acres (38 sq. ft).
SECTION 2. The Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to institute and prosecute, pursuant to KRS
82.405, an action in the McCracken Circuit Court for a judgment ordering the closing of
the alley described in Section 1. above.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
