ORDINANCE NO. 9-1- S�q�
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 98-6-5875,
ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1998,
THROUGH JUNE 30, 1999, BY ESTIMATING REVENUES AND RESOURCES AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE OPERATION OF CITY GOVERNMENT"

WHEREAS, on • %d funds were reappropriated by
Ordinance No. - /- 9 to increase the General Fund Reserve Account in the
amount of $34,375.00 for the purchase of three Xerox copy machines for the Departments
of Planning, Engineering, General Government and Inspection; and
WHEREAS, on November 17, 1998, funds were reappropriated by
Ordinance No. 98-11-5973 to increase the Demolitions Account in the amount of
$80,000,00, and to increase the Tree/Weed/Debris Removal Account in the amount of
$30,000.00 for the Inspection Department; and
WHEREAS, on November 17, 1998, funds were reappropriated by
Ordinance No. 98-11-5972 to increase the Demolition Account in the amount of
$25,000.00 for the Inspection Department; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to reappropriate funds for the 1998-
99 budget which was adopted by Ordinance No. 98-6-5875 on June 23, 1998; and
WHEREAS, KRS prohibits expenses to exceed the budget in any

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The annual budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998,
and ending June 30, 1999, is hereby amended by an increase in General Fund revenues in
the amount of $90,000.00 and a supplemental appropriation to the Fire Department in the
amount of $90,000.00 for the purchase of turnout gear, OSHA testing, FMT training and
retirement payment packages.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
