ORDINANCE NO. 99-1- 61- c, O
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 98-6-5875, ENTITLED,
"AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, ANNUAL
BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 1998, THROUGH JUNE 30, 1999, BY
ESTIMATING REVENUES AND RESOURCES AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE
OPERATION OF CITY GOVERNMENT"
WHEREAS, on November 17, 1998, funds were reappropriated by Ordinance No.
98-11-5972 to increase the account of Demolitions in the amount of $25,000.00, for the Inspection
Department of the City of Paducah, Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, on November 17, 1998, funds were reappropriated by Ordinance No.
98-11-5973 to increase the account of Demolitions in the amount of $80,000.00 and to increase the
account of Tree/Weed/Debris Removal in the amount of $30,000.00 for the Inspection Department
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky; and
WHEREAS, on November 10, 1998, funds were reappropriated by Ordinance No.
98-11-5968 to create the Telecommunications Operations Fund in the amount of $69,400.00 for
the Paducah McCracken County Telecommunication/ Information Board; and
WHEREAS, on October 13, 1998, funds were reappropriated by Ordinance No.
98-10-5962 to increase the Capital Improvement Fund for the City Hall elevator in the amount of
$58,740.00; and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to reappropriate funds for the 1998-99
budget which was adopted by Ordinance No. 98-6-5875 on June 23, 1998; and
WHEREAS, KRS prohibits expenses to exceed the budget in any department.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The annual budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998, and
ending June 30, 1999, is hereby amended by a supplemental appropriation which decreases the
General Fund Reserve and increase the Capital Improvements Fund in the amount of $34,375.00
for the purchase of three Xerox copy machines for the Department of Planning, Engineering,
General Government and Inspection.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
