AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF ATLAS ROOFING
CONTRACTORS INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $66,450.00 TO REPLACE THE
SEAMAN'S CHURCH INSTITUTE BUILDING ROOF, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Atlas Roofing
Contractors Inc. in the amount of $66,450.00 to replace the Seaman's Church Institute
building roof, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications,
advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of Atlas Roofing Contractors Inc. of
February 22, 2000.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Atlas Roofing Contractors Inc. for replacement of the Seaman's Church Institute building
roof, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 040-8821-
536-2307.
SECTION 4. In order to prevent a leaking roof causing further damage to
this building and its contents, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
will become effective immediately with one reading.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published pursuant to KRS Chapter
424.
