HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-4-6180ORDINANCE NO. 2000-4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING A SALARY SCHEDULE FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 96-12-5619 the City adopted a salary schedule for employees of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, who are not elected officials or members of police or firefighters' bargaining units; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 97-10-5739 the City implemented a 3.5% increase to all positions; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 98-1-5793 the City renamed the position of Forester/Grounds Maintenance Superintendent to Grounds/Cemetery Superintendent; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 98-1-5814 the City created the position of part- time Project Engineer; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 98-4-5858 created the position of Recreation Specialist in the Parks Department; and Manager; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 98-5-5865 increased the salary of the City WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 98-6-5889 revised the pay grade of the Liaison Officer, City Clerk, and Revenue Coordinator and renamed the title of Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to Grounds/Cemetery Supervisor; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 99-4-6030 the City created the title of Purchasing Clerk, and created the position of Knuckleboom Operator; and increase; and WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 99-9-6122 the City implemented the 1.7% COLA WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 99-11-6130 the City created the position of Property Compliance Person; and WHEREAS, the by Ordinance No. 2000-01-6150 the City increased the salary of the Community Development Program Manager and abolished and created positions in various departments; and, WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 2000-3-6167 the City created the position of Network Administrator, increased the salary grade for Section 8 Program Administrator and abolished positions in various departments; and positions. WHEREAS, the City now desires to implement 3% salary increases to certain BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. The amended salary schedule is attached hereto and incorporated by reference as if fully set forth herein. SECTION 2. These salaries shall be effective on Q,6 0 0 462 463 SECTION 3. In negotiations the Mayor offered to present raises for immediate action if the AFSCME contract was accepted; therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
