AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 FOR THE SEAMAN'S CHURCH INSTITUTE BUILDING
ROOF
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 2000-03-6171 the City of Paducah approved a
contract with Atlas Roofing Contractors Inc. for reroofing the Seaman's Church Institute
Building; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required to reroof a section of the
building which was not included in the original bid.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute Change Order
No. 1 for a increase in the amount of $8,350.00 with Atlas Roofing Contractors Inc.,
thereby increasing the total contract amount to $74,800.00 for reroofing the Seaman's
Church Institute Building.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No.
040-8821-536-2307 (PF0017).
SECTION 3. An emergency is declared to exist in order to facilitate
completion of this project and to prevent further damage to the interior of this building as
a result of inclement weather.
