AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
MAIDEN ALLEY CINEMA, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the lowest and best
evaluated bid for construction of the Maiden Alley Cinema said bid being in substantial
compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for bids, and as contained in the
bid.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for
construction of the Maiden Alley Cinema, according to the specifications, bid proposal
and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to
transfer the sum of $11,000.00, from the Commission Contingency Fund to the Capital
Improvements Project for the Maiden Alley Cinema Project.
SECTION 4. In order to avoid construction delays, which will be
detrimental to this project, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
will become effective immediately with one reading.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published pursuant to KRS Chapter
424.
