HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-11-6294658 ORDINANCE NO. 2000-11-x--14 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF RAY BLACK AND SON FOR RENOVATION OF THE RIVER HERITAGE MUSEUM, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR SAME BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Ray Black and Son in the amount of $210,000 for renovation of the Rifler Heritage Museum said bid i being in substantial compliance with the bid specincatior s, advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of Ray Black and Son dated October 27, 2000. SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Ray Black and Son for renovation of the River Heritage Museum, according to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in the bid. SECTION 3. This project will be funded by a Transportation Enhancement Grant with a 20% match provided by River Heritage Museum. No General Funds are required for this project. SECTION 4. In order to avoid construction delays which will be detrimental to this project, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance will become effective immediately with one reading. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
