AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GRANT
AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO WITH THE KENTUCKY
LEAGUE OF CITIES FOR A 2013 MATCHING SAFETY GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a Kentucky League of Cities 2013
matching Safety Grant Award adopted by Municipal Order No. 1697 on December 22, 2012,
2012, for the purchase of playground and safety equipment for the Paducah Parks Services
Department; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky League of Cities has approved the application and is
now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Grant Agreement and
all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky League of Cities, for a 2013 matching Safety
Grant Award that will reimburse the City $6,000.00 for the purchase of playground and safety
equipment for the Paducah Parks Service Department. The matching funds of $6,000.00 will be
provided through the Parks Services Department budget.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the 2013 KLC Safety Award
account, 040-8821-536-2307, project account PA0099.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
