AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER NO. 1 IN THE AMOUNT OF $38,514.10 WITH JIM SMITH
CONTRACTING CO. INC., FOR THE CITY OF PADUCAH' S STREET RESURFACING
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 99-8-6093 to enter into a contract
with Jim Smith Contracting, Co. Inc., in the amount of $1,618,117.50 for the City of Paducah's
Street Resurfacing Program; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1 is required for an increase in the amount of
$38,514.10 for inclusion of concrete work for Voors Park and the replacement of the 25th Street
Bridge and to finalize the project for the above referenced contract, increasing the total contract
price to $1,656,631.60.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change
Order No. 1 for the City of Paducah's Street Resurfacing Program for an increase in the amount
of $38,514.10 with Jim Smith Contracting, Co. Inc., for inclusion of concrete work for Voors
Park and the replacement of the 25th Street Bridge and to finalize the project, increasing the total
cost to $1,656,631.60.
SECTION 2. This shall be charged to the following account numbers:
040-3315-532-2307 (ST0009) - 25th Street Bridge
006-1214-513-2414 (CD0012) - Voors Park
009-1209-513-2307 (CD0033) - Voors Park
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
