AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE GIFT OF REAL PROPERTY
KNOWN AS 2524 CAIRO ROAD FROM ELEANOR LOUISE CUNNINGHAM
DOUGLAS AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED AND ALL
DOCUMENTS RELATING TO SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah hereby accepts the gift of real estate
from Eleanor Louise Cunningham Douglas of a tract of real property located at 2524
Cairo Road, and being more particularly described as follows:
Located on the southerly side of the Old Cairo Road and beginning at an
iron stake at the northwest corner of the William Rottgering property,
formerly the Elliot property; thence running southeasterly along the
westerly line of the Rottgering property a distance of 207 feet to an iron
stake, common corner to the William Rottgering formerly Elliot property,
and the Louise Douglas, formerly L. E. Cunningham property; thence
southwesterly and along the northerly line of the Louise Douglas, formerly
L. E. Cunningham property, a distance of 156 feet to an iron stake,
common corner to the Charles McCutchen property and Louise Douglas,
formerly L. E. Cunningham property; thence in a northwesterly direction
and along the easterly line of the Charles McCutchen property 214 feet to
an iron stake in the southerly right-of-way line of the Old Cairo Road;
thence an easterly direction and along the southerly right-of-way line of the
Old Cairo Road 156 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a deed and all
documents necessary to transfer the above-described real property to the City of Paducah.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
