HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-4-6185474 ORDINANCE NO. 2000-04- &AF5 ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY FINALIZING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE SAID CORPORATE LIMITS WHEREAS, a tract of property adjacent to the present city limits, located on the south side of Cairo Road, is urban in character and suitable for development for urban purposes without unreasonable delay; and WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the present corporate limits of the City, and it is desirable and necessary to annex the hereinafter described property; and WHEREAS, said tract of land is not within the boundary of another incorporated city. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to finalize the annexation of the hereinafter described property, and therefore that the hereinafter described property be annexed to, and made a part of the City of Paducah, Kentucky; said real property being more particularly and accurately described as follows: Beginning at an iron pin and cap (L. S. #3219) in the northwest corner of said tract and common to William F. & Doris Baumer (D.B. 723 Pg. 557) also being 495 feet west of a bridge on Cairo Road crossing Perkins Creek and in the South right-of-way of Cairo Road, 30 feet from the centerline; thence, along the South right-of-way of Cairo Road South 76 degrees 17 minutes 49 seconds East a distance of 151.44 feet to a point; thence, along an arc to the right with radius 970.00 feet with a chord bearing of south 71 degrees 29 minutes .32 seconds East a chord distance of 160.57 feet to a point; thence, South 66 degrees 44 minutes 38 seconds East a distance of 306.12 feet to a point; thence, South 12 degrees 56 minutes 40 seconds West a distance of 35.58 feet to a point; thence, South 66 degrees 44 minutes 38 seconds East a distance of 125.29 feet to a point in the floodwall right-of-way (also being the city limits of Paducah D.B. 200 Pg. 234); thence, South 12 degrees 56 minutes 36 seconds West a distance of 65.61 feet along the floodwall right-of-way to a point; thence North 77 degrees 03 minutes 24 seconds West a distance of 65.00 feet to a point; thence, South 12 degrees 56 minutes 38 seconds West a distance of 236.04 feet to a point; thence, along an arc to the right with radius 715.00 feet with a chord bearing of South 26 degrees 35 minutes 51 seconds West a chord distance of 337.56 feet to a point; thence, North 49 degrees 44 minutes 53 seconds West a distance of 30.00 feet to a point; thence, South 40 degrees 15 minutes 03 seconds West a distance of 597.02 feet to a point; thence, South 49 degrees 44 minutes 59 seconds East a distance of 10.00 feet to a point; thence, South 40 degrees 15 minutes 04 seconds West a distance of 404.24 feet to a point in the Baumer line; thence, North 8 degrees 58 minutes 21 seconds East a distance of 1644.49 feet to the point of beginning. 475 SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
