HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-6-6216 B517 ORDINANCE NO. 2000-6--6.;L/6 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND KENNETH R. PHILLIPS, JR., ET AL WHEREAS, in consideration of a settlement reached in a lien enforcement action in McCracken Circuit Court, and the City having received payment in full under the terms of the agreement; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City and Phillips to clear certain clouds on the title of the conveyed property. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Quitclaim Deed by and between the City of Paducah and Kenneth R. Phillips Jr., et al, for the hereinafter described.property: Tract 1: Beginning at a point in the easterly right-of-way line of South Ninth Street, said point being where the easterly right-of-way line of South Ninth Street intersects with the southerly right-of-way line of Ohio Street, and marked by an iron pin; thence from said point of beginning and in a southerly direction along and with the easterly right-of-way line of South Ninth Street a distance of 85 feet to an iron pin; thence at an interior angle of 89 degrees 59 minutes 30 seconds and in an easterly direction a distance of 165 feet to an iron pin in the westerly right-of-way line of a 16.5 foot public alley; thence at an interior angle of 90 degrees 00 minutes 30 seconds and in a northerly direction along and with the westerly right-of-way line of said 16.5 foot public alley a distance of 85 feet to an iron pin in the southerly right-of-way line of Ohio Street; thence at an interior angle of 89 degrees 59 minutes 30 seconds and in a westerly direction along and with the southerly right-of- way line of Ohio Street a distance of 165 feet to the point of beginning, and containing 14,025.0 square feet. Reference is hereby made to survey of Jack O. Gray, Registered Land Surveyor for the State of Kentucky, dated May 6, 1981. Tract 2: Beginning at a point in the westerly right-of-way line of South Eighth Street, said point being at the intersection of the westerly right-of-way line of South Eighth Street and the southerly right-of- way line of Ohio Street, and marked by an iron pin; thence from said point of beginning, at an interior angle of 89 degrees 59 minutes 30 seconds, and in a westerly direction along and with the southerly right-of-way line of Ohio Street a distance of 165 feet to an iron pin in the easterly right-of-way line of a 16.5 foot public alley; thence at an interior angle of 90 degrees 00 minutes 30 seconds and in a southerly direction along and with the easterly right-of-way line of said 16.5 foot public alley a distance of 231 feet to a point; thence at an interior angle of 89 degrees 59 minutes 30 seconds and in an easterly direction a distance of 35.59 feet to an iron pin; thence at an interior angle of 270 degrees 00 minutes 30 seconds and in a southerly direction a distance of 116 feet to an iron pin in the northerly right-of-way line of Tennessee Street; thence at an interior angle of 89 degrees 59 minutes 30 seconds 518 and in an easterly direction along and with the northerly right-of- way line of Tennessee Street a distance of 129.41 feet to an iron pin located at the intersection of the northerly right-of-way line of Tennessee Street and the westerly right-of-way line of South Eighth Street; thence at an interior angle of 90 degrees 00 minutes 30 seconds and in a northerly direction along and with the westerly right-of-way line of South Eighth Street a distance of 347 feet to the point of beginning, containing 53,126 square feet. Reference is hereby made to survey of Jack O. Gray, Registered Land Surveyor for the State of Kentucky, dated May 6, 1981. SECTION 2.
