AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF BES -PAC FOR THE
PURCHASE OF FRONT LOADING REFUSE CONTAINERS FOR USE BY THE
SOLID WASTE DIVISION, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Bes-Pac in an
amount not to exceed $120,000.00, for sale to the City of front loading refuse containers
for use by the Solid Waste Division, said purchase being in substantial compliance with
the bid specifications, advertisement for bid, and as contained in the bid of Bes-Pac of
May 15, 2000.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Bes-Pac for the purchase of the containers authorized in Section 1 above, according to the
specifications, bid proposal, and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the bid. The term of this contract shall be for two (2) years with option to
renew for two (2) additional years upon the agreement of both parties.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account Number
050-2210-531-4219.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
