AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN PADUCAH MARINE FIREFIGHTING COALITION INC.
AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR A FIREFIGHTING BARGE AND OPERATION
OF SAME
WHEREAS, the Coalition is the owner of a certain firefighting barge with
related equipment installed thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City is agreeable to provide firefighting personnel to
operate the barge and equipment pursuant to the terms of an Agreement between the
parties.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an Agreement
between the City of Paducah and Paducah Marine Firefighting Coalition Inc. for
operation of a firefighting barge and equipment pursuant to the terms and conditions of
said Agreement between the parties.
SECTION 2. In order to finalize this Agreement before December 31,
2000, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance will become effective
immediately with one reading.
