AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF TRAVIS
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY INC. FOR RENOVATION OF THE MAIDEN ALLEY
CINEMA, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN CONTRACT FOR
SAME

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Travis
Construction Company Inc. in the amount of $399,691.00 for renovation of the Maiden
Alley Cinema, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications,
advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of Travis Construction of December
11, 2000.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Travis Construction Company Inc. for renovation of the Maiden Alley Cinema, according
to the specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure will be charged to Account No. 040-1204-
513-2307 (Project ED0014).
SECTION 4. In order to avoid construction delays which will be
detrimental to this project, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance

SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published pursuant to KRS Chapter
424.
