AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING
THE CITY OF PADUCAH URBAN RENEWAL AND
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY'S
PURCHASE OF THE REAL PROPERTY OF PAPER
SUPPLIES, INC, JIMMY ALLEN & BARBARA ALLEN
LOCATED AT 101 WASHINGTON STREET,
PADUCAH, McCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY,
FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION OF $ 225,000.00, PLUS
OTHER GOOD AND VALUABLE CONSIDERATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah Urban Renewal and Community
Development Agency has entered into an Agreement For Sale with Paper Supplies, Inc.,
Jimmy Allen & Barbara Allen, dated 12/22/00, for the acquisition of real property for the
Four Rivers Center for the Performing Arts; and
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of approving the acquisition of the real
property by it's Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency; and
Kentucky:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City of Paducah,
Section 1. The City of Paducah hereby formally approves of the City of
Paducah Urban Renewal and Community Development Agency's acquisition of the real
property of Paper Supplies, Inc., Jimmy Allen & Barbara Allen, located at 101 Washington
Street, Paducah, McCracken County, Kentucky, for and in consideration of $ 225,000.00,
plus other good and valuable consideration.
Section 2. In order to close the sale by year's end and to allow for the
breaking of ground for the Four Rivers Center as soon as possible, an emergency is declared
to exist, and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
