HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-10-6272ORDINANCE NO. 2000-10- 6.;)-7-:2— AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A DEED BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF McCRACKEN, KENTUCKY, AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE PURCHASE OF 80.27 ACRES (TRACT 2) OF REAL ESTATE FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF THE PERKINS CREEK NATURE PRESERVE F BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Deed by and between the County of McCracken, Kentucky, and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the hereinafter described property: Being Tract 2, located on the south side of County Park Road, as shown on the waiver of subdivision for the County of McCracken property, recorded in Deed Book "L", page 506, McCracken County Clerk's Office, containing 80.27 acres, more or less. SECTION 2. This property is being purchased by the City of Paducah from the County of McCracken for the sum of $120,000.00 with grant funds obtained from the Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund. Said property will be used to establish the Perkins Creek Nature Preserve. SECTION 3.
