ORDINANCE NO. 2000-10- Cao; -71
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF HEFLIN, INC., IN THE
AMOUNT OF $29,900.00 FOR THE REMAINING REPAIRS OF LOCOMOTIVE 1518 AND
ATTENDANT CARS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of Heflin, Inc., in the
amount of $29,900.00 for the remaining repairs of Locomotive 1518 and attendant cars, said bid
being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications, and as contained in the bid of Heflin,
Inc., dated October 2, 2000.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor be authorized to execute a contract with Heflin,
Inc., for Locomotive 1518 and attendant cars, authorized in Section 1 above, according to the
specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and incorporated in
the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 002-1201-513-
2307 (DT0003).
SECTION 4. Due to the necessity to complete the remaining repairs on
Locomotive 1518 and attendant cars, prior to the onset of inclement weather conditions, an
` emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with
one reading.
