ORDINANCE NO. 2000-10-6268
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF J.W. REYNOLDS ROCK
OF AGES MEMORIALS FOR THE MARTHA JANE PHIPPS PECK MONUMENT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accepts the bid of J.W. Reynolds
Rock of Ages Memorials in the amount of $10,105.00, for sale to the City of a granite
monument in tribute to Martha Jane Phipps Peck, to be erected in the boulevard section
of the roadway connecting Cairo Road to Noble Park, said purchase being in substantial
compliance with the bid specifications, advertisement for bid, and as contained in the bid
of J.W. Reynolds of Augusts 4, 2000.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
J.W. Reynolds for the purchase of said monument authorized in Section 1 above,
according to the specifications, bid proposal, and all contract documents heretofore
approved and incorporated in the bid..
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account Number
001-1201-513-2307.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
