AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF WILKINS
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY INC. FOR STREETSCAPE PROJECT - PHASE II,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The City of Paducah accepts the bid of Wilkins
Construction Company Inc. in the amount of $1,096,662.11 for Streetscape Project -
Phase II, said bid being in substantial compliance with the bid specifications,
advertisement for bids, and as contained in the bid of Wilkins Construction Company
dated August 31, 2000.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Wilkins Construction Company Inc. for Streetscape Project - Phase II, according to the
specifications, bid proposal and all contract documents heretofore approved and
incorporated in the bid.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 040-
1203-513-2307.
SECTION 4. In order to complete a portion of Streetscape Project — Phase
II prior to the onset of inclement weather, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance will become effective immediately with one reading.
