AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A BOILER
AND REPAIR PARTS FOR THE CITY HALL HEATING SYSTEM, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT FOR SAME
WHEREAS, this purchase is being made as a non-competitive negotiation
under Section 26-21 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paducah; and
WHEREAS, Commercial Marine & Industrial Heating & Air
Conditioning Inc. is the sole supplier of this product in this area.
SECTION 1. The Finance Director is hereby authorized to pay to
Commercial Marine & Industrial Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. the sum of $12,564.00
for the purchase of one Hydrotherm boiler and repair parts for the City Hall heating
system.
SECTION 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a contract with
Commercial Marine & Industrial Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. for sale to the City of
the products authorized in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 040-
8827-536-2307.
SECTION 4. In order to have the City Hall heating system operational for
the winter season, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance will
become effective immediately with one reading.
