AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND PROFESSIONAL FIRE
FIGHTERS OF PADUCAH, LOCAL 168, INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
FIRE FIGHTERS
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah and Professional Fire Fighters of
Paducah, Local 168, International Association of Fire Fighters, hereinafter referred to as,
"Union", entered into an Agreement on September 1, 1978; and
WHEREAS, said agreement was amended on February 27, 1996; and
WHEREAS, said agreement was further amended as to wages for
members of Local 168, retroactive to July 1, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the City and Union have reached an agreement effective
September 1, 2000
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an
Agreement with the Professional Fire Fighters of Paducah, Local 168, International
Association of Fire Fighters.
SECTION 2. This Agreement shall be effective from September 1
2000, to June 30 , 2003.
SECTION 3. In order to resolve collective bargaining issues as soon as
possible, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become
effective immediately with one reading.
