AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AND ALL
DOCUMENTS NECESSARY BETWEEN KENTUCKY HOUSING CORPORATION
AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR A HOME RENTAL REHAB PROJECT FOR
DOWNTOWN BUSINESS OWNERS
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a
Memorandum of Understanding and all documents necessary with the Kentucky Housing
Corporation, authorizing the City to administer a Kentucky Housing Corporation HOME
Rental Rehab Grant in the amount of $804,000 for downtown business owners.
SECTION 2. Construction delays will be detrimental to this project, and in
order to allow contracts to be signed and construction to begin immediately, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance will become effective immediately with one
reading.
