AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO PAY
TO GROWTH, INC., $20,000 FOR A NEEDS ASSESSMENT STUDY FOR A PURCHASE
AREA RECREATION COMPLEX
l WHEREAS, the Purchase Area Recreation Complex Committee is ready to
l proceed with the hiring of Thomas Miller & Associates and Peck, Flannery, Gream & Warren to
prepare a needs assessment study for a purchase area recreation complex; and
WHEREAS, the total cost for the study is $44,000. The City of Paducah has
previously budgeted $20,000, and the remaining $24,000 will be collected from the County and
private donations.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized to pay Growth, Inc.,
the amount of $20,000 for a needs assessment study for a purchase area recreation complex.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Account No. 040-8821-536-
2307 (PA0030)
SECTION 3. To avoid delay in executing contract for needs assessment study, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with
one reading
