HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-10-6277631 ORDINANCE NO. 2000-10--4,;,77 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED ZONE CHANGE FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED WITHIN THE NATIONAL HISTORIC DISTRICT, AND AMENDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING ' BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a resolution passed by the Paducah Planning Commission on September 18, 2000, and entitled, "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING COMMISSION ON THE PROPOSED ZONE CHANGE FOR PROPERTIES LOCATED AS DEPICTED ON THE ATTACHED MAP," be approved as the final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth. SECTION 2. That the zone classification and the map amendment proposed in said resolution be, and the same are hereby, declared to be in agreement with the comprehensive plan of the City of Paducah. SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following described properties be, and are hereby, changed from: R-2, (Low -Medium Density Residential Zone) to R-1 (Low Density Residential Zone) Beginning at a point in the center line of Joe Clifton Drive (South �. 281h Street); said point being 214.75' north of the Jefferson Street and Joe Clifton Drive (South 28th Street) intersection; thence in an easterly direction in the center of a 25.5' alley a distance of 4,204' to a point in the center of a 15' alley; thence in a northerly direction with the centerline of a 15' alley a distance of 198.75' to a point, said point being in the center of Monroe Street; thence in a westerly direction with the centerline of Monroe Street a distance of 50' to a point; thence in a northerly direction a distance 173.25' to a point, said point being in the center of a 15' alley; thence in a westerly direction a distance of 100' to a point; thence in a northerly direction a distance 198.75' to a point, said point being in the centerline of Madison Street; thence in a easterly direction a distance of 60.33' to a point; thence in a northwesterly direction a distance of 211.5' to a point, said point being in the centerline of a 15' alley; thence in a easterly direction with the centerline of said alley a distance of 139.5' to a point; said point being the intersection of two 15' alleys; thence in a northerly direction a distance of 198.75' to a point; said point being in the center of Harrison Street and being in a westerly direction a distance of 203.5' from the intersection of Harrison Street & Fountain Avenue; thence in a easterly direction and with the center of Harrison Street a distance of 414.5' to a point; thence in a southerly direction with the center of a 15' alley a distance of 206.25' to a point; said point being the intersection of two alleys; thence in a easterly direction with the centerline of a 15' alley a distance of 170' to a point; thence in a southerly direction a distance 206.25' to a point, said point being in the center of Madison Street; thence in a easterly direction with the centerline of Madison Street a distance of 999.95' to a point; thence in a southerly direction with the centerline of a 13.5' alley a distance of 826.03' to a point, said point being in the 632 center of Jefferson Street; thence in a easterly direction with the centerline of Jefferson Street a distance 60' to a point; thence in a southerly direction a distance 206.25' to a point; said point being 173.25' south of the southerly right-of-way of Jefferson Street; thence in a westerly direction along a line located between Broadway & Jefferson Street a distance of 5689.97' to a point, said point being in the Centerline of South 28th Street; thence in a northerly direction a distance of 404' to the point of beginning. R-3 (Medium Density Residential Zone) to R-1 (Low Density Residential Zone) Beginning at the intersection of Madison Street & 14th Street; thence in a southerly direction with the centerline of 14th Street a distance of 1,034.28 feet to a point; said point located between Broadway & Jefferson Street; thence in a westerly direction a distance of 180' to a point; thence in a northerly direction a distance of 206.25' to a point, said point being in the center of Jefferson Street; thence in a westerly direction with the centerline of Jefferson Street a distance of 60' to a point; thence in a northerly direction a distance 826.03' to a point, said point being in the center of Madison Street; thence in a easterly direction with the centerline of Madison Street a distance of 291.87' to the point of beginning. SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions. SECTION 5.
