ORDINANCE NO. 2003-3- & (O21/
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY RELATING THERETO WITH THE
KENTUCKY DEPARTMENT FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT FOR A COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for An Alpha Project Grant adopted by
Municipal Order No. 976 on November 10, 2002, a program that provides small business
training to low -moderate income individuals adopted by Municipal Order No. 976 on November
19, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Department for Local Government has approved the
application and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
documents necessary relating thereto with the Kentucky Department for Local Government to
obtain a grant in the amount of $50,000.00 for a Community Development Block Grant Award to
fund the Alpha Project.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Alpha Project.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
