ORDINANCE NO. 2003-11-6714
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND PADUCAH AREA
TRANSIT SYSTEM
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute an
agreement between the City of Paducah and Paducah Area Transit System in the amount
of $375,000.00 for infrastructure improvements in Lowertown. Paducah Area Transit
System will utilize Infrastructure Improvement grant funds in an amount up to
$281,250.00 to reimburse the City upon completion of said improvements. The City will
be responsible for the monetary match not to exceed $93,750.00.
SECTION 2. The Finance Director is hereby authorized and directed to
transfer $93,750.00 from the Commission Contingency account to the Street Resurfacing
and Rehab account.
SECTION 3. Due to the time period with the availability of grand funding
sources and contractual time constraints, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall become effective immediately.
