ORDINANCE NO. 2003-11-6713
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EMERGENCY
INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT INTERSECTION OF SIXTH STREET
AND JEFFERSON STREET
WHEREAS, a written determination has been made by the City Manager
that the services required for installation of a traffic signal located at the intersection of
Sixth Street and Jefferson Street will be made pursuant to Sec. 2-659 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Finance Director is hereby authorized to pay to Meeks
Electrical the sum of $13,000.00, for services required for installation of a traffic signal
located at the intersection of Sixth Street and Jefferson Street.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Public Works -Traffic
Signals account.
SECTION 3. An emergency is hereby declared to exist due to the
replacement of this traffic signal being imperative for the safety of the citizens of the City
and this ordinance shall become effective immediately.
