AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR A MATCHING GRANT FROM THE
KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET FOR STREETSCAPE PHASE III
WHEREAS, the City approved Ordinance No. 2002-5-6525 authorizing and
directing the Mayor execute documents to obtain a matching grant in the amount of $300,000
from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet with a local match of $75,0000, for Streetscape Phase
Ems
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has notified the City that the
federal share of the matching grant is increased $300,000 for a total grant amount of $600,000,
and now requires an amendment to the agreement.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute an
Amendment to Agreement for a matching grant from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for
Streetscape Phase III for an increase in the amount of $300,000 to a total grant in the amount of
$600,000. Local cash match increases $75,000 to $150,000.
SECTION 2. Since the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has already approved
the Amendment to Agreement and continuation of work is pending, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with one reading.
