ORDINANCE NO. 2003-8-6682
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE KENTUCKY DEPARTMENT FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT FOR A NATIONAL
PARK SERVICE LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND GRANT
y WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a National Park Service Land and
Water Conservation Fund Grant adopted by Municipal Order No. 983 on January 14, 2003, for
the renovation of the amphitheatre in Noble Park; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Department for Local Government has approved the
application and is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant
Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky Department for Local
Government to obtain a matching grant in the amount of $75,000.00 for a National Park Service
Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant for the renovation of the amphitheatre in Noble Park.
The City will provide matching funds in the amount of $75,000.00, for this project.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the Noble Park Amphitheatre
account, project no. PA0024.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
