ORDINANCE NO. 2003-7-6661
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY BETWEEN THE U. S.
DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE AND THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR A UNIVERSAL
HIRING GRANT FOR THE PADUCAH POLICE DEPARTMENT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute all
documents necessary with the U. S. Department of Justice for a matching Universal
Hiring Grant in the amount of $225,000.00 for the hiring of three new police officers for
a period of three years. The City's cash match will be in the amount of $75,000.00.

SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to Universal Hiring Grant
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will
become effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
